Our 6-a-side champions will win KSh200,000: are your team ready?

We’ve got KSh200,000 to award the winners of our upcoming 6-a-side tournaments in Nairobi, Kisumu and Nakuru. Have your team got what it takes to be crowned the BIG winners?

The runners-up of each edition will win KSh100,000, and there’s even KSh50,000 for the third-placed teams. We’ll be giving away sports equipment to other teams who participate too.

Rules and regulations

1. Unless otherwise stated, the game will be played according to FIFA Laws

2. We will have a maximum of 32 teams participating. The team captains will be called and the first teams to comply with tournament officials will automatically join the tournament

3. All teams should be at the venue by 8.00 am in the morning for team verification

4. Matches will consist of two 15 minute periods, with a 5-minute halftime

5. There will be a maximum of 2 minutes of added time, as determined by the referee

6. Each team must have a minimum of 6 players on the field to play the match

7. All participants should be 18 years and above

8. Each team will have a minimum of 8 players - 5 on field players, and a goalkeeper + 2 substitutes

9. Within the 8 players we will have a team captain and a vice captain, they will also act as the team officials

10. If a player receives two yellow cards in a match this will result in a red card and a one match ban

11. Straight reds will result in a player being dismissed for the remainder (without replacement) of the active game as well as a one match ban for the following game

12. Any acts of intentional violence may result in a team being disqualified from the tournament based on the organizer’s decision and referee’s report

13. All games are on a fixed schedule and your team is expected to be ready for your scheduled game time

14. Coaches and team supporters will not question the decision of the referee. Sideline coaching / instructions by team supporters is NOT allowed. If supporters continue with bad language / sideline coaching or attempt to distract the Referee from the game, the Referee will ask the Team Captain to restrain their supporters. If this appeal is not heeded, the Referee will warn the Team Captain that this is a breach of the tournament rules and that disciplinary action will be taken against the team after the game

Player Registration

1. All players’ team lists must be submitted into the online system by March 30th, 2023 at midnight

2. All players must bring along their original valid passport or other valid identification card on all days of the tournament for verification purposes. If a player does not have his/her original passport or respective ID validation, then he/she will not be registered and will not be allowed to participate until they produce the original

3. Players are required to wear appropriate attire including boots and shin guards. Any player inappropriately dressed can be disqualified from playing

4. Teams are required to have numbers on their jersey that relates to their team/player registration

5. Teams are to bring two (2) sets of numbered Jerseys of different colors. In the event of a color clash, the team named second shall be required to make a change

6. The Team Managers will be responsible to monitor and ensure that any player/s under suspension are not fielded for subsequent matches, if a team is found in violation, they will lose that game by 5 goals to nil

7. All team managers must sign a waiver document releasing all parties working for or organizing the betPawa 6 aside Football Tournament of all liabilities associated with the tournament
